Anybody can charter a yacht, we have yachts and destinations for all types of expectations.

It will surprise many people but some yacht charters can be very affordable. If you are on a budget, plan your yacht charter holiday slightly off main season, bring friends along to split the cost and voilà… you are all set.

Rarely. Most yacht charter operators do not offer boat rental for periods shorter than 5 or 7 days. Most operators rent boats from Saturday or Sunday.

SeekSail does not share information with third parties without your authorization. Once you place a yacht charter request, your information will only be shared with the charter operator. We comply with the highest security standards, You can be confident that your personal information is safe with us.

All yacht charter operators request a deposit to be paid within 7 days after the yacht charter booking confirmation is issued. And the remaining balance is to be paid minimum 45 days before departure.

Once payments are made, they are not refundable. We strongly recommend you subscribe to a yacht charter cancellation insurance that will cover you for this type of concern. Ask us, we can recommend insurances.

All yacht charter operators will ask you for a deposit (the amount varies depending on the yacht charter type). Cost of repairs will be deduced from the deposit, you will not be charged for any cost above the deposit amount. No, not at all. The price of a yacht charter on SeekSail is as low as if you booked directly with the operator and we do not charge any fees for our services.

The yacht charter prices displayed are net for the yachts, as described. Additional options (skipper, kayak, etc..) as well as gas and fuel will be added charges. Finally, some countries may charge a tourist tax and marina fees (at the exception of starting and returning marinas) which will be at your own expense.

Yes, in most countries, if the service provided by the yacht charter skipper was good, a tip is expected.

No, it is not. Our yacht charter prices are exactly the same as the yacht operators.

To charter a yacht is not more dangerous than traveling by car as long as precautions are taken. Our yacht charters meet required international safety standards and skippers have the necessary experience and expertise to allow you to enjoy your sailing vacation without worries.

Yes, absolutely. Most yacht charter operators offer the option to place a protective net around the yacht preventing children from falling overboard. Ask us for destinations that are more children-friendly.

Bareboat yacht charter requires a license or documentation which demonstrates you have enough sailing experience (at least 3 weeks as a skipper on a similar yacht size). In Europe, an International Certificate of Competency (ICC) is required and in Croatia a VHF Radio Operator license is compulsory. Having said that, if you do not qualify or want to have a relaxing holiday, nearly all yacht charter operators will propose the option to hire a skipper.
